Our story & approach

Better together.
With you at the centre.

701 Begin Again brings people and clinical skills together to support healing, connection and wellbeing.

701 Begin Again is a registered supplier for the ACC Sensitive Claims Service.

Rooted in community

A family business.
A shared purpose.

Ginny Morris, CEO, and George Morris, Manager, founded 701 Begin Again Ltd. in Christchurch in 2024. At its heart is a family business built on the belief that we are better together.

Both Ginny and George bring extensive experience working alongside communities in Canterbury and Northland, with a shared commitment to improving wellbeing.

Our diverse clinical team includes practitioners who operate their own private practices and contract with 701 Begin Again to offer their specialist skills. Together, we help people access a range of therapies and practical support, including:

Your pathway through care

One step at a time.

You don’t have to choose every part of your care at the beginning. We help you find a starting point, then work with you to shape the support around your needs.

  1. Connect with us

Make an enquiry through our contact page. Let us know what you’re looking for and any preferences that would help you feel comfortable.

  2. Find a lead clinician

Our triage team helps connect you with a counsellor. Social work support may help you get set up and attend appointments.

  3. Plan your support

Explore your goals with your lead clinician and agree on a tailored treatment pathway, drawing on other services where appropriate.

  4. Stay connected

Review the plan together. Where appropriate and with your agreement, care can involve your whānau, GP and other health providers.

The whole of you matters

Care shaped around your life.

Trauma can affect different parts of a person’s life. Your treatment pathway may include counselling, psychiatry, group therapy, social work, nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, or cultural support.

You can also discuss referral to rongoā Māori with your lead clinician. The right combination of support depends on your preferences, clinical needs and any funding requirements.

Why the swallow?

Our name speaks of new possibilities. Like the swallow at the end of winter, it carries the hope of spring and the possibility of beginning again.
